LOCAL LION MEMBER RECOGNIZED

The Next District Governor: Pictured above is Chittenango Lion Paul Haynes being congratulated by Past Lions International Director Robert Seibert at the Club's 35th Installation Dinner on June 21st. On that evening Lion Haynes was recognized by his club when he was presented with two of Lions International's most prestigious awards. They was a "Life Membership Award" and a "Melvin Jones Fellow Award for Humanitarian Services" in recognition of his twenty years of service to Lionism and his community.

Lion Haynes has been twice president of the Chittenango Club and later area Zone Chairman. Currently he serves as Vice District Governor of 20Y-1. He will assume duties as District Governor of 20Y-1 next July for 2008-2009. Lion Haynes will be the first district governor from the Chittenango Lions Club in its 35year history. His wife, Rae is also a Chittenango Lion and a past president of the Club.
